This is proof beyond any doubt that every dog has its day.  I am writing this as I'm watching the so called Reds play their Mickey taking Europa League game against Braga.  Losing 1-0 from the away game, Liverpool have to score and in Andy Carrol they have the perfect man to not do the job.  I'm sorry if this offends anyone but he was bought for £35 million from Newcastle who must be wetting themselves.  Carrol is without a doubt the worse so called striker in the Premier league, yes even worse than Emile Heskey, in fact I think he is the worse striker in Premier League history.  I can hear you all screaming at me now, well Liverpool fans anyway, saying he was great at Newcastle, but he wasn't.  Yes he scored a few goals at the start but was terrible last season in the Championship.  Just because you have a good 3 or 4 games it does not make you a brilliant player.  Look at Michael Ricketts, yes you remember him, he even got an England call up once and was then never heard of again for club or country.

Only a team like Liverpool who are so desperate to overhaul the Top 4 could be sucked into such a mega panic buy when they knew Torres was on his way down the M6.  I mean come on, £35 million, Darren Bent was only 24 mill, he's got a fantastic goals to game ratio but I still think he's a pretty hapless chap when it comes to looking like a footballer.  So the scousers managed to get rid of Torres, one of the most over rated players in the league and replace him with a player like Carrol who would struggle to get into the Blackpool team and cough up a record fee for him in the process.  He looks like a bloke who brought his boots along in the hope he may get a game and was pulled out the crowd when they realised they are a bit short.  Also looks like a bit of a thug, well he did allegedly beat his bird up, and has just been given day release from the local nick.

So well done to Liverpool, you have done a fantastic bit of business and the more you try and catch up the rest, the more desperate you look.  You can beat Utd every season if you wish, even chuck in a couple victories over Chelsea and Arsenal too, because we all know who will be higher at the end.
